The South East Governors have launched a joint security outfit in the region after a joint meeting was held in Imo State.
Trait News reports that this is coming days after hoodlums set police checkpoints ablaze and attacked a correctional service center freeing over 1884 inmates.
The meeting was held today, 11 of April 2021 in Imo State . Governors of Anambra, Abia , Imo , Ebonyi and Enugu State were present, also in attendance were Navy and Air Force Commanders, the Inspector-General of Police, Ohanaeze Ndigbo and other stakeholders of the region.
Announcing the launch, Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodimma, said on Twitter that the code name for the security outfit is EBUBEAGU.
“South-East Governors set up the South-East joint security outfit code named EBUBEAGU,” the tweet read.
